About Us

Utilising the power of small, sided games to prevent drop out in football for children by creating positive experiences at an early age.

We pride ourselves in ensuring children have the opportunity to participate in football without the pressures of having to perform each week. We want to create a safe space and environment that enables children to have fun and enjoy football.

To ensure we do this the business focuses on coaching children football through the use of small, sided games. The idea of using small, sided games was founded upon existing knowledge gained through university and further supporting research, which stated that games and small matches were a pivotal reason behind enjoyment in football.

Our Story

Mini-Match Coaching was founded by university coaching graduates who share a common goal of increasing and maintaining participation in football.

We have graduated university with degrees in Sports Coaching and Business and Football Coaching and Management.

When developing and formulating the concept of Mini-Match Coaching we discovered that as children we didn’t have the opportunity to play football within schools that was enjoyable. This is why with our knowledge gained from our university degree around small sided games and our experiences of coaching, MMC was developed.

Fun

We aim for all our sessions to be enjoyable, fun filled spaces for players to thrive and learn.

Inclusive

We strive for all our sessions to be open and accessible to all.

Positive

We are committed to all our sessions being friendly, uplifting and positive spaces for all.
